IT CONTAINS SEVERAL SARCASTIC AND HUMOROUS REMARKS, WHICH PEOPLE WHO HAVE WOODEN OBJECTS INSERTED UP THEIR POSTERIOR END MAY NOT AGREE WITH. First and foremost, I'd like to comment on a new cartoon FUNimation will be dubbing. It appears to be named "Trunks". You see, there's a segement in one of the new Garlic Junior saga tapes which has an advertisement for a character who I thought was a Dragon Ball Z character, but apparently I was wrong, because all the screen says is "Trunks"......oh wait, I forgot! This is commercialism, that's right! How could I be so foolish. In an effort to get kids to "dig" this "hip" new character, I guess FUNimation feels it's neccessary to give him his own commercial and just flash a couple scenes with the word "Trunks" across the screen. Mental note to self: What will FUNimation do when it's revealed that Trunks is squat compared to Gokou, doesn't participate in the Cell Game and then is removed from the story-line? Hmmmmm. I wouldn't be so frustrated if they just brought him in with a NORMAL transition instead of attaching bells and whistles to it. Even a poopy show like Pokemon which is currently eons beyond DBZ in popularity, (reasons for which are still being studied by scientists in Nevada), simply said "Bai bai" to that Brock guy and are ushering in a new major character. Okay, is Trunks cool? Yes. Does he kick ass? Majority of the time, yes. However, I just don't think it's right to take advantage of the fact that he appears to be a "hip new teen" and we should thus be super-ultra excited that he's coming. I'm reminded of the Simpsons episode in which Homer did the voice of the new dog for the Itchy and Scratchy cartoon. I'd like to worship Trunks in my own way, not have him shoved down my throat.
